Prawns

I think I had too much prawns...

Yesterday at Trattoria Toscana Italian restaurant, prawns for both appetizer and main dish.



This morning breakfast mother prepared prawns again.



Dr. Liew : *look at prawn*

Prawn : *wriggle wriggle tentacles*

Dr. Liew : "Oh yeah?" *chomp*

Prawn : *dies*

Dr. Liew : *BURRRP!*

Dr. Liew : *shuffle shuffle* "Pick one card randomly from this deck."

RPCN : "Okay." *pick card*

Dr. Liew : "Remember the card. Now put it back randomly."

RPCN : "Okay." *put card back to middle of the pile*

Dr. Liew : *shuffle shuffle*

RPCN : "I want to shuffle also."

Dr. Liew : "Okay, go ahead."

RPCN : *shuffle shuffle*

Dr. Liew : *put deck of card on table* "Now tap the deck of card three times."

RPCN : *tap tap tap*

Dr. Liew : "Now your card has ascended to the top of the pile. Have a look."

RPCN : "Aiks! It's the card that I picked! How the heck did you do it?"

Dr. Liew : "Magic."

RPCN : "How?"

Dr. Liew : "Magic."

RPCN : "Tell us!"

Dr. Liew : "Magic."

RPCN : "No, you are not getting out of this room without telling us!" *block door*

Dr. Liew : "Oh yeah?" *extend hands open claws and close eyes* *walk walk*

RPCNs : "Oi! Don't come near! Hey! Sheesh!"

Dr. Liew : "See? I'm out of the room liao. Also magic, what?"

RPCNs : *pout* *pout*

Dr. Liew : "Muahahahaha!"

Planning For Party

One of RPCNs is planning a birthday party for her friend tonight.

RPCN : "Doc, you know where is Victoria Steakhouse?"

Dr. Liew : "Do I look like a map to you?"

RPCN : "You got computer mah."

Dr. Liew : *type* *type* "Here you go."

RPCN : "Wanna come or not?"

Dr. Liew : "Dunno."

RPCN : "Can we go buy cake this afternoon?"

Dr. Liew : "Okay."

Man : "Can I make an appointment with you regarding your account this evening?"

Dr. Liew : "Sure. Go ahead."

Man : "What about 8pm?"

Dr. Liew : "No problem for me. I'll be waiting for you."

Man : "Okay, I'll be there at 8pm. Looking forward to see you."

Dr. Liew : "Okay."

7.15pm...

Man : "Can I change the appointment to tomorrow?"

Dr. Liew : "If that's the way you do business, go ahead."

Man : "It's raining heavily."

Dr. Liew : "Then don't promise me."

Man : "I didn't know it will rain."

Dr. Liew : "Then don't promise me."

Man : "Sorry, it's my mistake."

Dr. Liew : "Obviously."

Today...

Friend : "Remember the man yesterday? He told me 'This doctor ah, I like him.'"

Dr. Liew : "Yeah right. If I'm going to tell him to lick my boots, do you think he will do it?"

Golden Sun 2 Hanged

I've found out that the game pirates left their fingerprint in the Golden Sun 2 cartridge that I bought. I stumbled across it when trying out the GBA SP pouch. You'll need to depress both the L and R button while turning it on. You will see:





After Isaac and his party join me, my Djinn list dropped down below the screen. When you try to scroll down, the game will crash with random noise and freeze.



And I thought : "Die liao! Die liao!"

I copied the cartridge and its saved game to my PC, fired up Visual Boy Advance to find a way round. Then I noticed that by repeatedly setting the 'extra' Djinns to Standby (pressing R button) will gradually remove the errored entries. Tried it on the cartridge... Phew... It works!

Korean Shop & Seafood

There's this Korean shop at Mont Kiara. The shop carries quite a number of Korean items. Ginseng tea, ginseng liquor, Korean instant noodles etc. And the shopkeepers speak Korean and a bit of broken English. There's a filtered water vending machine in front of the shop. MYR 0.20 for a litre of water...

Is this real ginseng or carrot?


Few doors to the right is 'Ocean Catch'. Nice western style seafood. But the prawns were not fresh.
